Stratus looks beyond a simple credit score to consider you as a whole aviator, and offers full flight-school financing for your training and related costs. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Through Stratus Financial you can access affordable payment options, including deferment for up to 12 months while you complete your training and find a job, so payments can start after you're working in aviation. You can also pay your loan off at any time with no prepayment penalties.
Can I pay as I go, lesson by lesson?
Many students pay for training as they progress rather than all at once. Because aircraft and instructor time are billed as you fly, you can pace your spending to your schedule, and combine that with financing or scholarships as needed. What does the typical cost of training look like?
As a guide, our Private Pilot License starts at $10,000, the Instrument Rating starts at $12,000, and the Commercial Pilot License starts at $35,000; ground school is $495. Your actual total depends on how often and how efficiently you fly, since most of the cost is aircraft and instructor time.
Are loans available for flight training?
Yes. Stratus Financial provides loans designed specifically for flight training, with competitive rates, deferment options, and no prepayment penalties. If you have limited credit or income, a co-borrower can strengthen your application, and Stratus supports that option.
Can financing be combined with scholarships?
